What conditions must medical institutions have to carry out the clinical application of human organ transplantation technology?

The Regulations on Human Organ Transplantation stipulate that medical institutions engaging in human organ transplantation shall, in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations on the Administration of Medical Institutions, apply to the competent health department of the people's government of the province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the central government for the registration of the diagnostic and therapeutic subjects of human organ transplantation. Interim Provisions on the Administration of Clinical Application of Human Organ Transplantation Technology: Medical institutions applying for registration of organ transplantation treatment subjects shall, in principle, be Level 3A hospitals, and must have the following conditions: (1) a licensed physician on duty in the hospital with the ability to clinically apply human organ transplantation technology, and other professional and technical personnel appropriate to the human organ transplantation to be carried out; (2) medical institutions with the human organ transplantation technology II foucus bed application to be carried out; (3) medical institutions with the human organ transplantation technology II foucus bed application to be carried out; and (ii) equipment and facilities suitable for the application of human organ transplantation technology II foucus bed; (iii) clinical application of human organ transplantation technology and ethics committee; (iv) sound technical specifications and management system. Under special circumstances, the provisions of the preceding paragraph other than the hospital applying for organ transplantation corresponding professional diagnostic and treatment subject registration, in addition to must have the conditions set out in the preceding paragraph, but also must be consistent with the location of the provincial health administrative department to the Ministry of Health for the record of the clinical application of human organ transplantation technology planning. Where not in line with the planning, the provincial health administrative department shall not be allowed to register.
