Pharmaceutical water preparation methods and principles

Pharmaceutical water preparation methods are as follows:

1. Purified water: for the raw water by distillation, ion exchange, reverse osmosis or other suitable methods for pharmaceutical water, does not contain any preservatives. Purified water can be used as a solvent for the preparation of ordinary pharmaceutical preparations or test water, shall not be used for the preparation of injections.

2. Water for injection: purified water distilled water. Should meet the requirements of bacterial endotoxin test. Water for injection must be designed to prevent the production of bacterial endotoxins under the conditions of production, storage and distribution. The water for injection used in the preparation of large-volume injections must be prepared using a multi-effect distiller. The water for injection can be used as a solvent for the preparation of injections.

3. Sterilization of water for injection: water for injection according to the injection production process. Mainly used for injection of sterilized powder solvent or diluent for injection.
