Founded in 1971, the People's Hospital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is a Grade 3A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and rehabilitation, and is a teaching hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University and Ningxia Medical University, as well as a base for training and education of physicians in Ningxia. It provides medical services to 17.96 million people (including 3 million Muslims) in Ningxia and neighboring areas such as Inner Mongolia, Gansu and Shaanxi.
