Curing Cancer and Saving Lives! Enterprises donate to VTC to build a heavy particle cancer treatment center.

Cancer patients who are unable to undergo surgery have long been treated with heavy particle therapy overseas, and now, the first heavy particle cancer treatment center will soon appear in China, allowing the nation to enjoy the most advanced and effective cancer treatment, and opening up a major step forward in the treatment of cancer and saving people's lives! With a total budget of 4.2 billion dollars, Taipei Veterans General Hospital is pleased to have received donations from three dedicated corporate groups, and the official signing ceremony will finally take place on the 21st of this year.

Taipei Veterans General Hospital has been actively planning to set up a heavy particle cancer treatment center for 7 years, and on November 30th, 104, the Ministry of Health and Welfare agreed in principle to the construction of the center, and the preparatory team then proceeded to the actual construction of the hard body of the preliminary equipment planning and procedures for the work. Through the assistance of three dedicated corporate groups, including Hongguo, Hongtai Group, and Mr. Yin Yanliang Group, ****together with the donation of Taipei Veterans General Hospital to build Taiwan's first heavy particle cancer treatment center, the signing ceremony was held today.

The total budget for the Center is up to $4.2 billion, and after many years of fundraising efforts, Mr. Yen-Liang Yoon's group has strongly supported the construction of the main building of the Center, and the related important works, which will be the first step in the treatment and rescue of the cancer patients. In addition, Mr. Lin Xiehan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Lin Hongming, Vice Chairman of Hongguo Enterprise, and Mr. Lin Yu Lin, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Hongtai Enterprise and Mr. Lin Hongnan, General Manager of Hongtai Construction, the two major groups and organizations have each donated NT$300 million, for a total of NT$600 million, which will serve as the first installment in the purchase of the first end of the heavy particles for cancer treatment instruments, and it is expected that after the operation, it will be able to provide more than 2% of the free treatment quotas every year to help or take care of the disadvantaged patients. The new system will be a new one, and it will be a new one.

Heavy particle therapy has a good biological effect

Liu Yu-ming, Director of Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology, Taipei Veterans General Hospital, said, "Heavy particle therapy has a good biological effect and can accurately irradiate the tumor to achieve the same effect as surgical treatment or better, but without the pain of surgery, the irradiation is less frequent, less harm to the tumor periphery and normal tissues, and low side effects, patients' psychological well-being, and the ability to improve the health of the patient.

Continuing to raise funds for the construction of the center

President of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Mr. De-Ming Chang, said that the center has already achieved concrete results in the preparation of the center after several visits to Saga Prefecture and Chiba Prefecture, Japan, to see the latest heavy particle equipment and design. With the help of kind-hearted people and corporations from all walks of life, we hope to complete the design and construction of the center as soon as possible, so that it can be completed as soon as possible for the benefit of cancer patients.
