Participating residents who incur medical expenses for hospitalization in accordance with the regulations shall pay for expenses up to the starting payment standard. For expenses above the starting payment standard and below the maximum payment limit, student children and other minors pay 35% and adults pay 40% if they are hospitalized in a tertiary hospital, 25% and adults pay 30% if they are hospitalized in a secondary hospital, and 15% and adults pay 20% if they are hospitalized in a first-class hospital or below.
