As of January 2020, Nanchang public rental housing is not available for purchase.
According to Article 27 of the Interim Measures for the Administration of Public **** Rental Housing Allocation in Nanchang, the lease contract for government-raised public **** rental housing should specify the following:
(1) the location, orientation, area, structure, and condition of the accessory facilities and equipments of the housing;
(2) the rent standard and the mode of payment;
p>(iii) payment methods for property services, water, electricity and other expenses;
(iv) the use of the house and the requirements for its use;
(v) the term of the lease;
(vi) the responsibility for maintenance of the house;
(vii) the circumstances under which the protection of the public *** rental housing will be discontinued;
(viii) the liability for breach of contract and the manner of dispute settlement;
(ix) other agreements. (IX) Other agreements.
The term of the contract is generally three years, with a maximum of five years.
Article 28 Lessees shall not change the use of government-raised public **** rental housing, and shall not sublet, sublet or leave it unused. Tenants need to redecorate, shall obtain the consent of the district (development zones, new districts) housing security department, and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the formalities; renovation and related costs, borne by the tenant, non-removable renovation facilities will not be compensated for when the vacated, and shall not be removed.

Interim Measures for the Management of Public **** Rental Housing Allocation and Rent in Nanchang City Article 6 Applicants for government-raised public **** rental housing shall meet the following conditions:
(1) If the applicant is a family in the city, at least one member of the family should have obtained a household registration in the city; if the applicant is a migrant worker, he or she should have held a Residence Permit for three consecutive years and have been working stably for six consecutive months.
(b) The annual per capita income of the family is not more than 2.5 times of the disposable income per capita of the urban residents;
(c) The per capita housing floor area of the family is not more than 15 square meters (the calculation of the per capita housing area of the family shall include the properties transferred within two years prior to the date of the application, the own housing, and the rented public housing);
(d) There is no commercial premises, office buildings, or other non-commercial premises under the name of the applicant and his/her family members. Commercial premises, office buildings and other non-residential properties and motor vehicles (except scooters for the disabled);
(e) not enjoying the policy of low-rent housing in kind and affordable housing.
