The school was formerly known as Xiangtan Vocational and Technical College, which was established in 2001 and 2004 by the merger of Xiangtan Workers' University, Xiangtan Electromechanical Industrial College and Xiangtan Health School, and was renamed Xiangtan Institute of Medical and Health Care Technology in June, 2015.
Hardware Facilities:
The college now has two campuses, the headquarter is located in the political, economic and cultural center of Xiangtan City, and the Hexi Campus is adjacent to the beautiful scenery of the Yuhu Park. The college covers an area of 450 acres, with a building area of 180,000 square meters and fixed assets of more than 300 million yuan.
