Blood pressure is the pressure when blood flows through the blood vessel wall. Blood flowing from the heart needs thrust to circle the body once.
The heart pushes blood forward by constantly contracting and relaxing.
There are two manifestations of blood pressure.
(1) Systolic blood pressure: Systolic blood pressure, also called systolic blood pressure, is the blood pressure measured when the heart contracts and pumps blood into blood vessels.
(2) Diastolic pressure: Diastolic pressure, also known as cardiac diastolic pressure, is the pressure obtained when the heart does not contract.
According to the definition of the World Health Organization:
(1) Systolic blood pressure exceeds140mmhg.
(2) Diastolic pressure exceeds 90 mm Hg.
Meeting these two conditions is called hypertension.
