What's the difference between tropical fish and marine fish farming? What should be paid attention to in marine fish culture? Be specific. 3Q

Hello, I'm the stationmaster of CNReef China Marine Fish Forum, so I'd like to share some experiences in the process of changing fresh water into seawater and learn from each other.

Generally speaking, seawater and fresh water are fish, and the most fundamental difference is that water contains natural sea salt. However, according to the characteristics of salt water (salt water has surface tension and is easy to foam), a protein separator, a symbolic equipment for mariculture, has been derived. Its function is to overflow the organic matter in the water into the collecting cup by bubbling, which can reduce the protein in the water at the first time, thus reducing the organic matter involved in the nitrogen cycle and greatly improving the water quality. This is beyond the reach of fresh water, and it can also be said that it is the benefit of seawater.

Then the temperature. In fact, 70% of the earth is ocean. If it is a general marine fish, the temperature can cover almost all normal temperatures of 0 -30 degrees. However, our aquarium is actually only a very small part of the fish with the highest ornamental value, that is, coral fish. This is a harsh temperature. Generally speaking, I only suggest that the fluctuation of 26 degrees should not exceed 2 degrees, which is the safe temperature for corals and fish. If it is too high or too low, the organism will have problems or die.

The next question is how to transform freshwater fish equipment into marine fish. This question only needs you to look at the size of your fish tank, whether it is filtered in the bottom tank, or whether there is a place for egg separation equipment. If you want to raise corals, is there a place to put a water cooler (you need a water cooler in summer in the south, and the water body is kept at around 28 degrees)? Others are not much different from fresh water.

Another requirement is that you should know what kind of seawater you want to raise, which can be roughly divided into three parts: fot (pure fish tank), LPS (soft coral fish tank) and SPS (hard coral fish tank).

The emphasis of each filtration system is different, so you must know it in detail before opening the cylinder, otherwise you will definitely have to pay a lot of tuition fees. I hope you can study it in detail in the forum, or walk into our group and ask many of our folk experts.

Our website is CNReef, and Baidu search is the first one.

It took more than half an hour to play by hand, even thinking and typing. I hope you can adopt my answer. If you have any questions, you can join a group or communicate further on the website. Thank you!
