Application range of NdFeB magnets

NdFeB magnets are applied as follows:

Electro-acoustic field: loudspeaker, receiver, microphone, alarm, stage audio, car audio, etc..

Electronic appliances: permanent magnet mechanism vacuum circuit breaker, magnetic retention relay, meter, water meter, sound meter, reed switch, sensors and so on.

Motor field: VCM, CDDVD-ROM, generators, motors, servo motors, microform motors, motors, vibration motors, etc.

Machinery equipment: magnetic separation, magnetic separator, magnetic crane, magnetic machinery, etc.

Healthcare: nuclear magnetic **** vibration instrument, medical equipment, magnetic therapy health care products, magnetized fuel saver, etc..

Other industries: magnetized anti-waxer, pipe descaler, magnetic fixture, automatic mahjong machine, magnetic locks, door and window magnets, stationery magnets, luggage magnets, leather goods magnets, toys magnets, tools magnets, crafts and gifts packaging.

Third generation rare earth permanent magnet NdFeB is the strongest performance permanent magnet among contemporary magnets. Its BHmax value is 5-12 times that of ferrite magnets and 3-10 times that of alnico magnets; its coercivity is equivalent to 5-10 times that of ferrite magnets and 5-15 times that of alnico magnets, and its potential magnetic properties are so high that it can pick up heavy objects equivalent to 640 times its own weight.

Because the main raw material of NdFeB magnet, iron, is very cheap, and the rare earth neodymium is 10-16 times more than samarium, its price is also much lower than samarium cobalt magnet.

The mechanical properties of NdFeB magnets are better than samarium cobalt magnets and alnico magnets, and they are easier to cut and drill holes and process complex shapes.

The shortcomings of NdFeB magnets is its poor temperature performance, the use of magnetic loss at high temperatures, the maximum operating temperature is low. Generally about 80 degrees Celsius, after special treatment of the magnet, its maximum working temperature up to 200 degrees Celsius.

Because the material contains a large number of neodymium and iron, it is easy to rust is also one of its major weaknesses. So NdFeB magnets must be surface coated. Can be plated nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), gold (Au), chromium (Cr), epoxy resin (Epoxy) and so on.

NdFeB magnets are widely used in aerospace, electronics, electromechanical, instrumentation, medical and other fields. And the use of non-technical fields is also more and more extensive, such as adsorption magnets, toys, jewelry and so on.
