"The center" is the largest rehabilitation training base in Guangxi providing medical treatment, rehabilitation, education and scientific research for children with cerebral palsy, deaf children, mentally retarded children and autistic children, with 139 employees in the center, of which more than 80% are college educated.
The center has 139 employees, with more than 80% of them having college education or above. It is the designated evaluation institution for the disabled by Nanning Disabled Persons' Federation, and its main equipments include: EEG, EMG, six-conductor ECG machine, semi-automatic blood biochemistry analyzer, electric traction bed, visual music therapy instrument, Dr. Qiyin, Dr. Qizhi, Dr. Qicong, auditory integration system, multi-frequency homeostatic system, etc. The center has been in operation for ten years.
Over the past ten years, the Center has treated 8,000 children with various disabilities, with the effective rate of cerebral palsy rehabilitation reaching 93%, and the speech rehabilitation rate for deaf children reaching 47%, as well as students with intellectual disabilities graduating from the Center and entering the mainstream society, and some of them taking up jobs.
In the second half of 2001, I "center" in Guangxi region took the lead in the establishment of the first "autistic children's rehabilitation training" institutions, after four years of development, the rehabilitation effect has reached a leading level in the country, in September this year, the scientific and technological research projects, "autistic children's rehabilitation training methodology research". In September this year, the scientific and technological research project "children's rehabilitation training methods of research" successfully passed the Nanning Municipal Science and Technology Bureau of the review, at present, in the "center" to receive medical rehabilitation training and special education for more than 200 children.
