Story background
The day when Su Shi stepped into his official career coincided with Wang Anshi's political reform. In the imperial court, the reformists and conservatives were tit for tat and fought fiercely. Standing on the position of the old school, Su Shi wrote to Zongshen many times, expressing opposition and demanding that the political reform be stopped as soon as possible. The request was unsuccessful, so I wanted to leave the whirlpool of political struggle, so I wrote a letter requesting to go abroad.
After being approved, he was appointed as the provincial judge of Hangzhou, and three years later he was appointed as the magistrate of Mizhou, Xuzhou and Huzhou. During this period, Su Shi wrote some poems mocking the new law in view of the problems in the implementation of the new law, which caused some people's jealousy.
