College Overview Shenzhen People's Hospital was founded in 1946, formerly known as Baoan County People's Hospital, and was renamed Shenzhen People's Hospital with the establishment of 1979 Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. 1996, approved by the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, became the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University School of Medicine. With the growth of special economic zones, Shenzhen People's Hospital has developed into a modern comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research with the largest scale, complete functions, advanced equipment, reasonable talent structure and strong technical force in Shenzhen.
The hospital covers an area of 90,400 square meters, with a construction area of nearly 1 1000 square meters and open beds 1000. In 2002, there were 30,000 discharged patients, 654.38+330,000 outpatients and 9,775 surgical operations. There are 53 chief physicians (medical technology), 279 deputy chief physicians (medical technology nursing), 587 attending physicians (medical technology nursing) and 64 nursing staff/kloc-0. In recent years, 65 doctors and 16 1 masters have been introduced from home and abroad, and the personnel structure of each department tends to be reasonable and the talent echelon is complete. There are 4/kloc-0 clinical departments and 0/medical technology departments in the hospital. 1994 was rated as the first "Class III A" hospital in Shenzhen.
Specialty construction
In recent years, the hospital has continuously strengthened the construction of specialties, including six municipal key specialties: minimally invasive surgery, orthopedics, respiratory medicine, neonatology, oncology and radiology. Minimally invasive surgery technology has penetrated into various clinical surgical departments and is in a leading position in China. In 2003, the Department of Orthopaedics of our hospital was rated as a special specialty in Guangdong Province, and the artificial joint technology of bone and joint surgery and the tissue defect repair and functional reconstruction technology of hand and peripheral vascular surgery were at the leading level in the province. Spinal surgery is the earliest unit in China to develop spinal endoscope technology; Neonatal department is equipped with advanced equipment such as central monitoring system and pediatric ventilator. Respiratory medicine is unique in the application of bronchoscope, the treatment of sleep disorder and mechanical assisted ventilation. Oncology department includes oncology department, tumor radiotherapy department and tumor laboratory, which is the cancer diagnosis and treatment center in the city. Radiology is the largest medical department with the most projects in the city. CT, MRI image diagnosis and interventional therapy have reached the advanced level in some areas in the province or at home. Up to now, liver transplantation has been successfully completed 14 cases. In 2003, the first living donor liver transplantation for infants in Guangdong Province was successfully completed, and liver transplantation has become a routine operation in the Municipal People's Hospital. Bone marrow transplantation in hematology department started late, but the starting point was high. In 2002, allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, related, unrelated and umbilical cord blood hematopoietic stem cell transplantation were successfully carried out.
Teaching and scientific research
The teaching work has entered the track of institutionalized and standardized management, and eight teaching and research sections have been established, including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, imaging medicine, preventive medicine, stomatology and nursing. It has undertaken the training tasks of graduate students, undergraduates, junior college students and secondary school students, and in recent years has accepted the clinical internship tasks of medical college students such as Jida Medical College, Shantou University Medical College, Dalian Medical University and Guangdong Medical College.
Postgraduates are enrolled from 1997. There are 1 1 clinical tutors in clinical internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, imaging medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine who can enroll postgraduates in China. At present, there are 25 graduate students 10 1. In April 2002, four professors Zhou, Xiao Deming and Shenzhen People's Hospital were employed as doctoral supervisors of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. As the graduate training base of the hospital, from 2002, Shenzhen People's Hospital will recruit doctoral students in general surgery (minimally invasive), respiratory medicine, orthopedics and imaging medicine for the whole country.
