Beijing has also made history, becoming the first city to host both the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics.

Based on technologies such as 5G, slicing, MEC and millimeter wave, China Unicom has created three scenarios of "smart viewing, smart hosting and smart participation" and ten application innovation systems of smart viewing, smart live broadcast, smart customer service, smart dedicated line, smart venue, smart dispatching, cloud broadcasting, smart media, vehicle-road coordination and smart medical care.
In order to ensure the network coverage of Olympic venues and related venues, China Unicom has carried out 5G network coverage operation for 67 Olympic venues, contracted hotels, traffic trunk lines and roads between venues to meet the business needs during the Winter Olympics and the network needs of public users in the Winter Olympics area.
China Unicom also established the Communication Support Command Center (TTOC) in Shougang Park to ensure the communication operation during the Winter Olympics. During the Winter Olympics, all communication information services will be monitored, dispatched, processed and served in the Winter Olympics Communication Support Command Center.
