In fact, earlier, like last August, ARM announced that it would release a brand-new architecture code-named "Deimos" on 20 19, and it would be manufactured by 7nm process. Speaking of the word "Deimos", it actually refers to the son of Ares and Aphrodite in Greek mythology, and is called the God of Fear.

The name is radiant, and the corresponding strength cannot lag behind others. When ARM released these contents and network diagrams, it also poked fun at Intel. In the comparison chart displayed by ARM, Intel's processor architecture was tested at SPECint 20 16, starting from Core i5-4300U after 20 13 and ending at Core i5-7300U after 20 17. Although the process developed from 22nm to 14nm, the actual performance was not satisfactory.

Judging from the current ARM products, the Cortex-A76 generation can be said to have met the best opportunity. Excellent architecture design and the application of 7nm process make it show a huge performance jump in the actual SoC products compared with the previous generation products. For example, the performance of Snapdragon 855 processor based on Cortex-A76 architecture can be improved by up to 45% compared with the previous generation of Xiaolong 845 processor. In terms of power consumption, the power consumption of Cortex-A77 may be slightly higher than that of Cortex-A76. Finally, let's look at manufacturing and products. The two major customers of Cortex-A77 are believed to be Huawei Hisilicon and Qualcomm Snapdragon.
