(I) Application Process
1. Fill up the application form online.Before making an appointment, you need to fill out an application form online. Application Documents(1): Original passport with current validity of at least 6 months from the date of return (and original passport if old).

(3) Proof of employment (English version is required):
a. Employees: a copy of business license/copy of organization code certificate + an original letter from the employer on the company's letterhead, which should include the applicant's position, salary, length of service, company contact details and company registration, all of which need to be stamped with the official seal.
b. Self-employed: a copy of business registration document is required.
c.Students: Original letter from the school of study on school letterhead is required to prove attendance and leave related details.
d. If not working/freelance: a document from the travel sponsor or a letter explaining the source of travel funds.
(4) Proof of income and funds.
A bank statement of current account in the traveler's name that can show income and deposit information for the past 6 months, with a balance of 50,000 yuan or more, stamped with the bank's seal; or other independently verifiable documents that can prove the financial status (e.g., passbook, certificates of deposits, and for self-employed persons, business statements). Applicants are not required to submit deposit slips.

If you need to expedite your visa application, you can use the Express Service. Applicants opting for this service are required to visit the Visa Application Center in person and pay an expediting fee of RMB 1,711 in addition to the visa fee. The processing time for visa applications will be reduced from 15 working days (3 weeks) for the standard processing procedure to a target of 3 to 5 working days. Expedited Application Requirements: To utilize the expedited service, the applicant must have traveled to the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, or one of the Schengen countries within the past 5 years, as evidenced in the applicant's valid passport or previous passport. The Express Service is available only at the Visa Application Centers located in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.If you are using the Express Service in Guangzhou or Shenzhen, you need to submit copies of all the documents as well as copies of the personal information page and all non-blank pages of your passport.
