The hospital was founded in 1931, in 2001 after the merger of Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Hospital, also known as Zhejiang Oriental Hospital, now known as Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital No. 1, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the First School of Clinical Medicine, Zhejiang Oriental Hospital, Zhejiang Province, the first batch of provincial and municipal health insurance designated units.
