Zhongshan Third People’s Hospital, formerly known as Zhongshan County Psychiatric Hospital, was established in 1958. In 1958, the Zhongshan County People's Government allocated funds to move the mental patient shelter located in the Guxianglin Temple around the city (originally located in Dongyue Temple in the east of Shiqi) to the Wuhou Temple next to Jishan in Tianbian Village, Nanlang.
