Macau University of Science and Technology is a brand-new university established with the approval of the Macau SAR government shortly after Macau returned to the motherland. It is a comprehensive university that focuses on cultivating applied talents. She is responsible for cultivating senior professionals with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The university campus is located on the quiet and beautiful Taipa Island of Macau, surrounded by mountains and rivers with pleasant scenery. The overall construction of the campus is expected to exceed 800 million patacas. The first phase of the project was completed in 2001. When Macau University of Science and Technology was founded, it had four colleges: School of Information Technology, School of Administration and Management, School of Law, and School of Traditional Chinese Medicine; it also admitted students pursuing bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees. Thanks to the support of a number of famous universities in the mainland, more than half of the teachers come from prestigious universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Fudan University, and Nanjing University. The campus is equipped with the most advanced computer network at present, using gigabit broadband optical fiber network and advanced two-network-in-one technology, with wireless network access function. Admission Rules

1. Students must hold admission certificates from 14 provinces and cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan, Hunan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong , Guangxi, Hainan). 2. Bachelor's degree courses must have a high school graduation or an educational level equivalent to a high school graduation, and must participate in the national unified admissions examination for colleges and universities organized by each province and city, and achieve the results of the province or city Undergraduate admission scores.

3. If the applicant is admitted to our school, the Academic Affairs Office of M.U.S.T. will issue an admission notice.

Charging standards

1. Tuition fees:

Tuition fees for each term are calculated and paid based on the actual registered credits.

The average per credit hour in 2005/2006 was HK$1,000.

The average tuition fee per academic year is approximately HK$40,000.

Advanced Placement Courses: The tuition fee for one academic year is approximately HKD 20,000.

2. Deposit:

Each newly admitted student is required to pay a one-time deposit of HKD 3,000. If there is any balance after deducting fines/arrears during school, it will be refunded when the student withdraws or completes the course.

3. Accommodation fee and bed fee in student dormitory

Accommodation fee:

Calculated based on ten months, it is generally about HKD 6,500-7. 500 yuan. Dormitory rent is paid in advance and is paid in two installments each academic year. It is paid before the start of the semester (in January and August respectively). Generally, 5 months' rent is paid per semester.

Bed fee:

Each new student is required to pay a one-time bed fee of approximately HK$800 when moving into the dormitory for the first time.

All dormitories are equipped with public washing machines, hot and cold water supply and other major equipment: each unit has an independent bathroom; there are 26 units on each floor, with public kitchens and laundry and drying equipment; 24-hour management Security guards patrol; 24-hour dormitory supervision and guidance.

The accommodation fee includes hot and cold water supply, general lighting and electricity supply (except air conditioning), management fees, security and property cleaning services.

The following expenses are not included in the rent:

- Electricity charges for use in the unit

- Washing service charges for public washing machines

Before moving in, students need to prepay one semester (five months) of rent as the first installment. All subsequent rents must be paid in advance, one semester (five months) each time.

4. Living expenses (10 months): living expenses, local transportation, meals, daily necessities, books and stationery expenses, medical insurance, etc., approximately HKD 15,000 per year.

(Living expenses are paid by the students themselves, and the university does not collect them on behalf of the students.)

5. Students enrolled in the bachelor's degree program of the School of Chinese Medicine will be required to pay for each semester in the second, third and fourth semesters. An additional experimental fee of HK$1,000 is required during the semester.

6. All rules regarding the above fees are subject to the university’s latest tuition fee schedule for freshmen admitted in the 2005/2006 academic year (Mainland Chinese students).

Note:

1. Students who have received the above-mentioned scholarships can continue to enjoy the scholarship as long as their grades during their studies can maintain the standards recognized by the school (top 15 or 25 in the total number of students in the class). If outstanding students can consistently maintain excellent grades within four years, they can directly enter graduate school without taking the exam and are eligible to apply for graduate scholarships.

2. Those whose scores in the current college entrance examination meet M.U.S.T.’s undergraduate admission threshold are eligible to apply for bursaries. Successful applicants will receive an annual tuition fee reduction of HK$30,000. If students can maintain the standard recognized by the school (top 50 students in the class) during their studies, they can continue to enjoy the scholarship.

3. In addition, the Macau Foundation has a quota of four scholarships for outstanding mainland students. The school will select students with the best college entrance examination scores to apply.
