I only have one incomplete standard of American paratroopers here.
other equipment
paratroopers' helmets
can be divided into M1C, M2D and other models according to different forms. The biggest difference from the general infantry helmet is that the inner helmet adds A-shaped reinforcing edges between the left and right ears to connect leather chin pieces in series. A set of snap buttons are arranged at the end of the chin strap of the outer helmet to fix it with the inner helmet, so as to reduce the probability that the inner helmet and the outer helmet are separated during airborne, while the difference between M1C and M2D is only the difference of the chin strap fixing ring of the outer helmet.
Paratrooper first aid kit
contains a first aid bandage set, a tourniquet and a dose of morphine. Many paratroopers attach this first aid kit to the camouflage net of helmet or M36 strap. Paratroopers still have a general first-aid bandage set.
The wrist strap compass
looks like a big watch, and it is attached in the same way as a watch; So that paratroopers can still identify their bearings during the dizzy airborne process. Different from the general compass, it is filled with oil.
M3 fighting knife
Strictly speaking, this knife is not a special equipment for paratroopers, and it is also distributed by many infantry. However, when parachuting in Normandy, paratroopers almost had one hand, either tied to their arms or to their calves, which has almost become the standard equipment for paratroopers.
M2 paratroopers' folding knife
The folding knife has spring force, which can automatically pop up by pressing the knife side button, and is used to cut the wound umbrella rope or anything it can cut. The pocket on the chest of the M42 paratrooper suit is used to put this knife.
M4 life vest
airborne equipment. Originally, it was a life-saving vest for flight crew members, but in order to prevent (reduce) the accident of drowning in the air drop, paratroopers also put on this yellow vest like a bib for children. Because of its fixed use, it often becomes one of the first discarded equipment after paratroopers land safely.
leg hanging material bag (leg bag)
airborne equipment. The "Paratrooper Modification Kit" designed by the British enables them to carry more materials when airborne, with large capacity and convenient use. However, due to the poor design of the fixed mechanism, many paratroopers met it for the last time when they jumped out of the plane door, and never met again.
T5 umbrella bag
airborne equipment. Paratroopers' most important equipment is here.
rope
is an important tool to help paratroopers fall from a height. The heights referred to here refer to places like treetops, roofs and even cliffs that fall carelessly.
M1938 leather gloves
This pair of gloves, originally developed by mountain troops, became famous for the paratroopers' love and finally became one of the orthographic marks of paratroopers' outfits.
t-shovel for M191 paratroopers
The wooden handle of the general m191 shovel is easy to break during skydiving, so the paratroopers cut the wooden handle by themselves, leaving the T-handle, and created a special T-shovel. In fact, the appearance is no different from the general individual equipment.
castanets
are friend-or-foe identification tools based on the combat experience of the 82nd Airborne Division. Inspired by children's toys, they can make a "click" sound, and there is another castanets made of crickets. This thing was only used by the 11st Airborne Division on D-DAY.
the p>M1 Rigger bag
is made by Rigger Section and is only distributed to the paratroopers. There are two sizes, the small one is used to carry ammunition for M1 carbine or M1 rifle, and the large one can be used to carry magazines for Thomson submachine guns and grease guns.
M36 strap gasket
after hanging a lot of ammunition and equipment, M36 strap will make users' shoulders very uncomfortable, so paratroopers developed this type of gasket and installed it on the strap to share the weight of the equipment and relieve the pressure on the shoulders.
M5 gas mask bag
In order to prevent the Germans from using chemical and biological warfare agents, all the troops involved in the D-DAY battle were distributed with this type of gas mask bag, which was made of rubber and waterproof. Different from the general way of chest hanging, paratroopers usually wear it by leg hanging.
I'm sorry, brother. I'm just a military fan. I haven't studied any clothing models.
