Yes, according to a new report, at a hearing on the response to the New Crown outbreak in the United States, the U.S. department in charge of procurement said that 80% of all needles and syringes in the U.S. are now imported from China, and that these products are used primarily for shipments to the U.S. in support of vaccination efforts.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 82.1 million doses of the new crown vaccine had been delivered across the United States as of Feb. 23, and about 65 million doses had been administered.?
The hot vaccination status quo in the U.S. has also led to a new problem in the U.S. - there is a serious shortage of needles and syringes for vaccination, for which the U.S. imports a large number of them from China, but this has surprised some high-ranking U.S. officials and urged the relevant departments to carry out their own production.

Buy the masks, buy the test chemicals, buy the syringes
This is not the first time that U.S. politicians have been surprised at the extent of the country's reliance on Chinese medical supplies.
Back in April last year, New York Gov. Cuomo came up with a set of platitudes at a briefing on the outbreak: "The masks we need come from China, the gowns we need come from China, the protective masks we need come from China, the ventilators we need come from China. Well, we're past that stage, now we're at a new stage, we need testing agents, also from China ...... How did that happen!"
Last October, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian cited customs data to point out that China's cumulative exports of masks to the U.S. totaled 37.7 billion, an average of more than 100 masks for every American, plus 740 million pairs of surgical gloves, 560 million sets of protective clothing, 41.54 million pairs of goggles, and 11,701 respirators from March 1 to Oct. 18 of last year.
And by 2021, U.S. senators are finding that the needles and syringes they need are still coming from China.
