Chen Yue's bribery sentenced

According to the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau Discipline Supervision Committee materials provided: July 5, 2010, Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Court for the crime of accepting bribes, sentenced Chen Yue, former director of the Shanghai Clinical Laboratory Center, to five years and six months of imprisonment ([2010] Pudong Criminal Initial No. 1424). The court found that, from early 2008 to early 2010, Chen Yue has repeatedly accepted Shanghai Ruiyi medical equipment sent money, a total of 94,000 yuan. 2009 Spring Festival to 2010 Spring Festival, Chen Yue has repeatedly accepted Shanghai Zheming Industry and Trade Company sent money, a total of 130,000 yuan. Public information shows that the Shanghai Municipal Clinical Laboratory Center is directly under the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, is authorized to carry out clinical laboratory quality supervision, management and service of professional institutions. Chen was sentenced because of the use of job facilitation, in the procurement of instruments and equipment, consumable materials in the process has repeatedly accepted three enterprises to give commercial bribery.
