How to calculate generator power

The formula for calculating the electrical power of a generator is P = W/t = UI, which indicates how fast or slow an object does work.

If the electrical energy consumed in a time as long as "t" (in s) is "W" (in J), then the electrical power of this appliance is P=W/t (defined) Electrical power is equal to the product of the voltage at the ends of a conductor and the current through the conductor.

Each appliance has a normal working voltage value called the rated voltage, the power of the appliance works normally under the rated voltage is called the rated power, the power of the appliance works under the actual voltage is called the actual power.

Expanded Information

Power measurement is used to measure the power consumed by an electrical device, and is widely used in research and development or production lines for household appliances, lighting equipment, industrial machines, and other fields.

There are four methods of measuring power:

(1) Diode detection power method.

(2) Equivalent thermal power consumption detection method.

(3) True RMS/DC (TRMS/DC) conversion detection power method.

(4) Logarithmic amplification detection power method.
