As of May 2016, the university*** has 2209 faculty and staff, with 1,623 faculty and staff on board, 208 full-time senior and 647 associate senior; and 297 PhDs.
Two national excellent teaching teams, two national teaching masters, eight provincial teaching masters, two Pearl River Scholars, five specially appointed Pengcheng Scholars. There are 1155 full-time teachers and 1272 part-time teachers outside the university. The proportion of "dual-teacher" quality teachers among full-time teachers has reached 82%.
Research Achievements
As of May 2016, the university has undertaken 3,526 projects at all levels, and the total amount of scientific research funds of the university has accumulated to 451 million yuan, and it has won the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects for 13 consecutive years since 2002, and the National Social Science Foundation of China (NSSCF) projects for 7 consecutive years since 2007.
Applied R&D features outstandingly, with 961 national patent authorizations, 203 software copyright registrations, ****completion of 1,863 technology (knowledge) transfer projects, with 185 million yuan of funds on hand, and revenues from the transformation of scientific research achievements reaching 23,643,100 yuan.
