From an environmental point of view, the way the vanadium and titanium industry pollutes is divided into four main categories: atmospheric environmental impact, acoustic environmental impact, water environmental impact and solid waste impact.
Atmospheric environmental impacts: Pollution sources that may have a polluting impact on the surrounding air environment mainly include: dusty exhaust from coal storage and transportation, crushing and pulverizing in the coking process, smoke from coal loading and coke pushing, smoke from coke ovens and tube furnaces fueled by purified blast furnace gas and coke oven gas, and dusty exhaust from dry quenching and coke-screening processes. Dust-containing waste gas generated in the process of fuel crushing, mixing and blending materials, mixing and batching of flux, fuel, ore return, etc. in the sintering process, smoke in the sintering section and cooling section of the sintering machine, dust-containing waste gas generated in the process of unloading the end of sintering machine, single-roll crushing and whole-grain sieving. Exhaust gas from iron making process feeding system, dusty flue gas from blast furnace, flue gas from pulverized coal preparation system, and flue gas from hot blast furnace fueled by purified blast furnace gas. Steelmaking process bulk material feeding exhaust, iron pretreatment fumes, secondary flue gas and refining flue gas outside the converter, converter primary flue gas. Rolling process finishing exhaust, rolling heating furnace with purified gas as fuel, combustion flue gas. Vanadium products process preparation and batching exhaust, ferrovanadium electric arc furnace flue gas, vanadium trioxide drying and de-ammonia exhaust, vanadium pentoxide melting furnace exhaust, rotary kiln flue gas, vanadium trioxide de-ammonia exhaust and vanadium pentoxide de-ammonia exhaust.
Acoustic environmental impact: may have a pollution impact on the surrounding acoustic environment of the pollution sources mainly include crusher, vibrating screen, various types of pumps, fans and other equipment noise.
Water Environmental Impact: Pollution sources that can pollute the water environment mainly include: production wastewater production mainly includes coking production process of the net environmental water system wastewater and phenol-cyanogen wastewater, sintering process and ironmaking process equipment indirect cooling net wastewater, steelmaking process equipment cooling water purification system wastewater, continuous casting of turbid ring water system and the primary flue gas purification turbid ring water system wastewater, rolling process equipment indirect cooling system wastewater. Sewage water from indirect cooling system of equipment of steel rolling process; direct cooling water from high-pressure water dephosphorization station, roller conveyor and other equipment; and production process wastewater from vanadium products process. As well as corresponding to the office living facilities, such as domestic sewage.
Environmental impact of solid waste: tar slag and sludge of phenol-cyanogen wastewater treatment station produced by gas purification system of coking process, blast furnace slag of iron making, steel slag and iron oxide, iron oxide produced by steel making and rolling process, vanadium products dipping waste slag, waste mineral oil and so on, as well as dust removal ash collected by each dust removal system, and so on.
As for the vanadium and titanium project, the scope of environmental pollution impact should be specifically determined according to the project's production scale, do not dare to say.
