A Fang saw a lot of patients sitting in rows at the rehab clinic near the company, with electrotherapy tablets on their shoulders and heat packs on their shoulders, and fell asleep while sitting there, which seemed to be very comfortable, so she decided to go to the clinic. However, after a few tries, although she felt comfortable, the pain and stiffness were not resolved, and the redness of the skin did not go away for several days, and small blisters also appeared. As a result, the clinic's therapist was unable to find a solution to the problem...

As our society ages and modernizes, more and more rehab clinics are popping up on the streets, and more and more people are visiting hospitals' rehab clinics, and many office workers, seniors, and the injured are all experiencing the benefits of "rehab. But do you really recognize this kind of professional treatment?
In fact, the real name of what we call "rehab" is "physiotherapy", which includes pulling the waist, pulling the neck, hot compresses, electrotherapy, and other treatments. And these treatments are definitely not just grabbing the dragon, pushing and pressing, stretching, or like sitting in a *** chair and pressing a button to operate on your own, or even handing over to a nurse or an assistant to do so; rather, they should be carried out by a professional "physiotherapist". The following are some of the things you should pay attention to when you are in physical therapy to avoid stepping on landmines by mistake.
Without a qualified physiotherapist, you will get hurt!
The real key to the effectiveness of physiotherapy lies in the physiotherapist's ability to correctly assess the causes of disease, body structure, environment or personal level that affects the functioning of your life, and to give the most appropriate treatment and advice.
In addition to the use of equipment, the physiotherapist can also provide manual therapy, exercise therapy, postural modification, assistive devices
and environmental modification, and even design home training activities that can be performed at home, all of which can achieve the goal of reducing discomfort and improving quality of life.
So we need to keep our eyes open to see if the person helping with the treatment is a licensed physical therapist, and not just a nurse or a non-professional assistant.
The therapist is too busy for the patient to operate the machine!
The most common introduction to physiotherapy services in the community is the introduction of one by one, a wide range of instruments and equipment, as if as long as you walk into the treatment room, this side of the electricity, that side of the pull, you can get rid of the disease. Some have been treated for a while old patients, often feel that the operation of these rehabilitation equipment are very simple, see physical therapists like robots generally busy, mistakenly believe that there is no need to labor, all my own on it.
In fact, the use of these devices is not as simple as just operating the buttons. Heat therapy, electrotherapy and traction are common treatments that, like all medical treatments, carry risks and have their own applicability and inapplicability. Physical therapists should fully inform you of these risks and personally operate the therapeutic equipment in order to design the most effective treatment program based on your pre- and post-treatment reactions and changes in symptoms, and to avoid repeating ineffective treatments, which would waste your valuable time and healthcare resources.
The more you use it, the more you'll be able to take advantage of it and the more you'll be able to enjoy it!
The purpose of electrotherapy is to alleviate pain, swelling, and other symptoms, as well as to enhance neuromuscular connectivity to facilitate movement. However, too much current can cause strong and sustained muscle contractions, which can also cause muscle injuries and skin burns. Even if the current is very low, prolonged periods of time can still cause electrochemical burns, so don't make the mistake of thinking that the stronger the current, the better, and the longer the current, the better.
Precautions for receiving electrotherapy:
First, pay attention to the power cord of the instrument and whether the appearance is damaged? Is the light on the panel normal?
Second, the process of electrotherapy as far as possible away from the environment of the metal pipe, iron frame, or other metal shell, so as to avoid grounding caused by electric shock.
Third, the position, spacing, and current intensity of the patch must be correct; the patch should not be placed on the chest or in front of the neck.
Fourth, those who are equipped with cardiac pacemakers can not be electrotherapy. People with heart disease, sensory loss, epilepsy, or pregnancy are susceptible to adverse reactions such as flare-ups or skin injuries due to electrotherapy, and should be especially careful when using it.
Thermal therapy is not just about feeling "hot", it's about having professional treatment in place to be safe and effective!
There are two types of heat therapy: wet heat, such as hot packs, is a shallow treatment; dry heat, such as short-wave, is deeper. The precautions for these two types are as follows.
Notes on the use of hot packs:
First, the temperature of the hot water is up to about 70 degrees, you can not take the hot packs, so as not to burn or disrupt the heating sequence.
Second, before using the first wrap 6 to 8 layers of towels, every five minutes to check the skin condition.
Third, to avoid heavy body pressure on the hot part, so as to avoid burns (because the weight will accelerate the transfer of heat, local circulation will be due to the pressure of the blood vessels become poor and reduce heat dissipation).
Fourth, do not in order to save time, in the same part of the simultaneous hot compresses and electrotherapy, so as to avoid the hot compresses of moisture, resulting in leakage accident.
Notes on the use of short-wave therapy:
i. Remove all metal and magnetic objects from the body during treatment to avoid interference with the instrument.
Second, the use of short-wave need to be exposed to the treatment location and covered with a towel, so as to avoid the synthetic fibers of the clothing to melt, sticky, you can ask for a private space to carry out the treatment.
Third, the use of short wave is not allowed if you have a fracture nail, a cardiac pacemaker, or an implanted electrical *** device in your body.
Fourth, the normal skin feeling of short-wave treatment is only "warm", if you feel "hot", it is very likely that the deep part has been burned, you should quickly respond to the therapist.
