Faw Hainan Automobile Co., Ltd (FHC) is located in Haikou City, Hainan Province, is a state-owned large-scale enterprise built on the basis of a full set of equipment purchased in 1988 from the Philippine Stamping Plant and Assembly Plant of the U.S. Ford Motor Co. and the introduction of automated production lines from the U.S., U.K., and Japan in the processes of welding, assembly, and painting.

The company entered FAW Group on January 18, 1998, and its sedan and MPV products were included in the unified planning of the group and the national automobile industry.
