Mediatech currently has six R&D centers located in Shenzhen, Beijing, Nanjing, Seattle, New Jersey and Stockholm. Nearly 30% of Myriad's employees work in the R&D system on a wide range of products with clinical applications.

Mediatech has invested approximately 10% of its annual turnover in supporting product innovation and R&D, and has established an R&D management platform that is on par with the best in the world. Myriad has an R&D management process that complies with CE, FDA standards and ISO system, and an expert committee controls and manages the development process. All products are designed in accordance with relevant international standards during the development process, and comprehensive special tests (including EMC, safety, environmental, etc.) are conducted for verification, so that product safety and reliability are fully guaranteed.

In December 2002, the "National Engineering Research Center for Medical Diagnostic Instruments" of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) was successfully established in Myriad. After three years of operation, the center was formally established in 2006 by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. It marks a new mechanism for Myriad to lead and enhance the technology research and development process of the domestic medical equipment industry.
