Grade SCM435
Corresponding standard JIS G 4053-2003
Low-alloy steel for machinery
Alloy steel plate for machinery
Categorization Alloy steel
Properties Strength? Impact toughness? impact toughness? fatigue resistance? Hardenability
Tags Low-alloy structural steel? High-strength steels for bolts? Hot-rolled, cold-rolled strip (Nippon)
Description High static strength, impact toughness and high fatigue limit, hardenability is higher than 40Cr, high creep strength and endurance strength at high temperatures, long-term working temperature up to 500 ℃; cold deformation of the plasticity of the medium, weldability is poor, there is a slight tendency to tempering brittleness. Used as an important structural components working under high loads, such as vehicles and engine transmission parts; turbine generator rotor, spindle, heavy load transmission shaft, large section parts.
It is the wire for manufacturing self-tapping screws, machine screws, construction screws, electronic screws, automobile screws and so on.
Recommended application examples: the manufacture of M16 ~ M24 performance grade 10.9, M18 ~ M24 performance grade 12.9 hexagonal flange face bolts, hexagonal head bolts, double head bolts and head deformation of the larger amount of high-strength bolts, the application of the temperature range of -20 ° C ~ 480 ° C
Nippon Steel can be supplied with hot-rolled and cold-rolled strip steel of this grade. Used for making chains, rocker arms
