What is the job of a procurement liaison

Collective procurement liaisons are professionals who work in procurement in hospitals or medical organizations.

1. Their main responsibilities are to liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and wholesalers, negotiate prices and delivery deadlines for the procurement of medical equipment, drugs, consumables and other items, and select the best procurement options for the hospital or medical organization. Purchasing liaison officers also need to understand the dynamics of the medical market and master relevant policies, regulations and technical standards to ensure that the purchased items meet medical quality and safety requirements.

2. CCPs are also required to handle disputes, complaints and quality issues during the procurement process, and to communicate and negotiate with suppliers, hospital management and relevant departments in order to reach the best solution.

3. The CCP needs to have certain purchasing and negotiation skills, be familiar with the healthcare market and supply chain management, and also have good communication and coordination skills.
