Mediatech is China's leading manufacturer of high-tech medical device research and development, and one of the world's leaders in medical device innovation. Since its inception in 1991, Myriad has been committed to the development and manufacture of clinical medical devices. Our products cover four major areas: life information and support, clinical testing and reagents, digital ultrasound and radiography, and we have brought perfectly balanced cost-effective medical electronics products to every corner of the world. Myriad's global sales have expanded to more than 190 countries and regions. Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, with R&D centers in Shenzhen, Beijing, Nanjing, Seattle, New Jersey and Stockholm, Sweden, and branch offices in 29 major cities in China, Myriad has overseas subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Brazil. It also has a strong distribution and service network around the world. As of December 2009, the company has more than 5,800 employees worldwide.
Since its establishment, Myriad has always taken "meeting customer needs" as the driving force for growth, and has gradually built up an R&D management platform that is oriented to customer needs, centered on project management, close to the market, with a full understanding of users' needs, and with a rapid response. By integrating innovative technologies and R&D cost advantages, we provide high-performance and cost-effective products and services for global medical institutions, and create greater value for our customers.
Myray has established six R&D centers in Shenzhen, Beijing, Nanjing, Seattle, New Jersey and Stockholm. At Myriad, nearly 30% of the employees serve in the R&D system, working on a variety of product research related to clinical applications.
Mediatech insists on allocating about 10% of its annual turnover to support product innovation and R&D, and has established an R&D management platform that is synchronized with the international first-class level. Myriad has an R&D management process that complies with CE and FDA standards and ISO systems. An expert committee controls and manages the development process. All product development processes are designed in accordance with relevant international standards, and comprehensive special tests (including EMC, safety, environment, etc.) are conducted to verify product safety and reliability.
In December 2002, the National Engineering Research Center for Medical Diagnostic Instruments (NERC) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) was successfully established at Micrel. After three years of establishment and operation, it was formally established by MOST in 2006. This indicates that Myriad will lead and promote the technology research and development process of the domestic medical device industry with a brand new mechanism.
