The Tongchuntang was founded in 1609 (during the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty) by Liu Jingzhang, the imperial physician of the Ming Dynasty. Liu Yuduo, the court physician of the Qing Dynasty, who compiled the medical masterpiece "Jinjian of Medicine", was the third generation of Tongchuntang. Both generations of imperial physicians were highly respected by the royal family for their excellent medical skills. The name "Tongchuntang" was bestowed by the Wanli Emperor. Emperor Qianlong's own handwriting, "Tongchun Hall" plaque.
Throughout the changes of the times, Tongchuntang was not immune to the impact of various upheavals and disasters, but the Tongchuntang heirs, with their wisdom and loyalty to their ancestral business, managed to preserve their ancestral medical textbooks and diagnostic and therapeutic prescriptions. Liu Hui, the seventh-generation heir, was glad to meet the healing times and seized the opportunity to revitalize Tongchuntang.
Liu Hui, out of his love for his motherland's medicine and concern for the world's suffering, studied intensely and laid a solid foundation of knowledge of Chinese medicine, combining his ancestral prescriptions with modern medicine, and relieved the pain of tens of thousands of patients with his superb medical skills, which made Tongchuntang famous. 2006 Liu Hui established Tongchuntang Dermatology Hospital in Changchun, and 2008 he founded the Beijing Tongchuntang Hospital in the capital, Beijing.
Under the leadership of Dean Liu Hui, the subject leader, the hospital has set up several gold medal treatment teams: psoriasis treatment team, eczema, dermatitis and other allergic diseases, vitiligo treatment team, folliculitis, acne treatment team, aiming at relieving the pain of more dermatology patients. The hospital has the domestic leading allergen detection, fungal culture, 308 excimer laser treatment instrument, UVB phototherapy instrument and other equipment, with the conditions for more patients to relieve pain.
Beijing Tongchuntang adhere to the "inheritance not mud ancient, carry forward not deviate from the clan," the purpose of running the hospital, the introduction of modern enterprise management mode, now has Beijing Tongchuntang, Beijing Tongchuntang Institute of Dermatology, Changchun Tongchuntang dermatology hospital and other medical institutions, but also owns the Jilin Tongchuntang Medicine Science and Technology Co. Ltd., which combines traditional prescription with modern technology to provide quality assurance for clinical use.
