Electrical and Control Teaching and Research Room
The Electrical and Control Teaching and Research Room undertakes the teaching and research tasks of the technical basic courses and professional courses as well as course design, internship and graduation design for the majors of Electrical Engineering and Automation (undergraduate), Measurement and Control Technology and Instrumentation (undergraduate), and Electrical Automation Technology (specialist). Specific courses include: electric motor traction, basic power electronics technology, detection and conversion technology, automatic control theory, modern control theory, microcomputer principle and interface technology, microcontroller principle, computer control technology, electrical control, factory power supply, motion control system, process control system, CNC machine tools, intelligent instrumentation, field control bus technology, process control devices and instrumentation. The department has 8 full-time teachers, including 3 associate professors, 5 lecturers, and 8 teachers with master's degrees.
Electronics and Communications Teaching and Research Department
The Electronics and Communications Teaching and Research Department is responsible for the teaching of the technical foundation courses of the Electrical Engineering and Automation (Undergraduate)/Electrical Automation Technology (Specialist) majors, and the technical foundation courses, specialized courses, as well as the course design, internship, and graduation design of the Communication Technology (Specialist) majors. Specific courses are: basic electronic technology, basic electrical engineering, communication principles, basic circuit analysis, signals and systems, high-frequency electronic circuits, electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave, digital signal processing, modern communication technology, fiber optic communications, mobile communications, program-controlled switching technology, modern switching principles.
Theoretical Physics Teaching and Research Department
Theoretical Physics Teaching and Research Department is mainly responsible for teaching the theoretical physics part of the physics (undergraduate) major, as well as the educational internship and thesis guidance for physics majors. Specific courses taught are: modern physics, thermodynamics and statistical physics, quantum mechanics, theoretical mechanics, solid state physics. The research directions carried out include: nuclear physics and nuclear technology and its applications, high-energy laser devices, low-dimensional physics, and computation of microwave sintered semiconductor ceramic materials.
The Department of General Physics
The Department of General Physics is mainly responsible for the teaching of general physics courses for physics majors, as well as the teaching of general physics courses for students of science and engineering majors in other faculties and departments, and the supervision of educational internships and graduation theses for students majoring in physics and physics education. Specific courses include: mechanics, thermology, electromagnetism, optics, physics teaching methodology, general physics, courseware production, and educational technology. Research is conducted in the following areas: optical engineering, multimedia technology, etc.
Laboratory Center
The Laboratory Center was established in 2006, formerly known as the Physics Laboratory, which is now under the School of Electrical and Information Engineering. It now has 39 laboratories covering five specialized fields, including general physics, modern physics, electrotechnics, electrical and control, and communication technology, etc. Among them, the laboratories of optics, process control, electrotechnics, electronics, automatic control and microcomputer control, programmable controller, microcontroller, principle of communication, high-frequency circuits, and signals and systems are equipped with advanced equipments, which have been playing significant roles in the teaching and research of the institute. Experimental room area of 2360 square meters, fixed assets of more than 4 million yuan.
