Located at No. 366, Jiangnan Avenue South, Guangzhou City, is the largest clinical stomatological hospital in South China. Its predecessor is the Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital Stomatology Department, in 1961 from the Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital detached from the establishment of the hospital, is one of the earliest establishment of China's five major dental hospitals, so far there has been a history of 40 years. The original site of the hospital is at No. 180 Taikang Road, Guangzhou.
Since its establishment, Guangdong Provincial Stomatological Hospital has devoted itself to the research and practice of specialized technology and enjoyed a good reputation. With the development of business, the original Taikang Road old site is difficult to meet the needs of practical work. Reform and opening up in the early eighties, the hospital and Hong Kong Xinyi Investment Company (investment of one thousand one hundred and fifty thousand Hong Kong dollars), another new hospital area of fifteen thousand square meters, the hospital moved in 1985, and was once renamed Guangdong Province Lingnan Dental Center. During this time, a number of medical teams were organized to work in Sihui and Zhaoqing. At the same time, the hospital invested 400,000 yuan in Shenzhen to establish the Shenzhen Dental Medical Center, in 1987 for ease of management, the center is separated from the Guangdong Provincial Stomatological Hospital and become independent of the Shenzhen Dental Medical Center. In 1991, the hospital's new office building was completed and opened, the hospital's work is gradually on track.
After nearly 10 years of efforts, the hospital's work has made gratifying achievements. The hospital environment has changed significantly, the waiting room is gorgeous and full of modern flavor, the clinic is bright and spacious, and the environment is quiet and pleasant. In accordance with the international classification of stomatological specialties combined with the specific conditions of our country, the hospital has set up 17 specialized departments: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dentistry, Periodontology, Endodontics, Oral Mucosal Disease, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Implantology, Oral Aesthetics, Children's Dentistry, Preventive Dentistry, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Oral Radiology, Oral Pathology, Oral Clinical Laboratory, and Prosthodontics Production Center. Center and so on. The hospital has 258 employees, including 21 senior titles, and a large number of doctoral and master's degree graduates and returnees. All the departments are equipped with international advanced comprehensive dental treatment equipment and auxiliary equipment, and serve patients with various oral diseases with first-class medical technology and good medical ethics and morals. The hospital undertakes scientific research projects issued by the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Science and Technology Commission and the Department of Health, and publishes dozens of papers in major academic conferences and professional magazines at home and abroad every year. The office of Guangdong Province Dental Disease Prevention and Control Steering Group is attached to the hospital. The hospital edits and publishes professional academic magazines <<Journal of Dental Disease Prevention & Control>> which are openly circulated at home and abroad.
