The predecessor of Xigu District People's Hospital is Baigu'en Hospital of the Eighth Route Army, which was renamed as Volunteer Army 522 Hospital in 1951, and was founded as Lanzhou No.2 People's Hospital by the collective transfer to Xigu in 1958, and was renamed as Xigu District People's Hospital in the Cultural Revolution.
