Is there a difference between a screen printing machine and a pad printing machine?

There are differences:

Let me tell you what I know and add something that some people upstairs haven't mentioned.

1, print product differences:

a; Screen can print large planes (such as large areas of glass). Screen can be printed in a circle (such as a cup), which is called roll printing. Beautiful words can't be printed on the screen.

b; Pad prin can print products with irregular surface or products with stepped surfaces, but screen prin cannot. Pad printing can print tiny characters, such as those on the lens ring of a mobile phone that can only be seen with a magnifying glass.

2. Printing consumables:

Screen printing machine, screen printing board, screen printing scraper, screen printing ink, screen printing tool, etc.

B pad printing pad printing machine, pad printing steel plate (with thin steel sheet), pad printing rubber head, pad printing ink, pad printing scraper or oil cup, etc.

From a professional point of view, there is a difference between using ink. Screen printing needs to be slow and pad printing needs to be fast. Screen printing ink is used for screen printing, and pad printing has professional pad printing ink. But there are many screen inks used for pad printing, because screen inks are cheap.

Many people don't care or know that pad printing has professional pad printing ink.

Screen printing ink is slow-drying, and so is thinner. Screen printing ink is easy to block the screen when it dries too fast, and there will be color difference at different stages in mass production. When high-quality pad printing ink is printed on the product, it only takes a few seconds to completely dry the surface. In the process of pad printing, when the rubber head takes the ink, the adhesion between the rubber head and the ink is greater than that between the ink and the printing plate, so that the pattern can be taken away completely. When printing, the adhesion between the product and the ink is greater than that between the glue head and the ink, so that the pattern can be printed on the product completely. Moreover, pad printing can be printed several times in the same position of the product, but screen printing is not. Screen printing can only be carried out twice when the ink surface printed on the product is dry, otherwise there will be a high reject rate.

The above is just my personal opinion. Because the design of the question is relatively wide, I can answer them one by one from the aspects of screen printing and pad printing environment, products, efficiency and requirements, so I won't explain them in detail here. Welcome everyone to exchange and learn.
