Reverse osmosis water treatment equipment pretreatment system is usually composed of polypropylene fiber (PP) filter and activated carbon (AC) filter. Higher hardness of the raw water also need to add a softening resin filter. PP filter element can efficiently remove raw water more than 5μm mechanical particles of impurities, rust and large colloids and other pollutants, to protect the subsequent filter, which is characterized by a large amount of sewage, low price. AC activated carbon filter element can be efficiently adsorbed in the raw water chlorine and part of the organics, colloid, to protect polyamide reverse osmosis composite membranes from oxidation of chlorine. Softening resin can remove most of the calcium and magnesium ions in the raw water, to prevent the subsequent RO membrane surface scaling and clogging, and improve the water recovery rate.
Reverse Osmosis (Reverse Osmosis, RO for short) is a pressure difference as the driving force of a high-tech membrane separation technology, with a high degree of separation, no phase change, simple and efficient features. Reverse osmosis membrane "pore size" has been as small as nanometers (1nm = 10-9m), in the scanning electron microscope can not be seen on the surface of any "filtration" holes. In higher than the osmotic pressure of the original water under the operating pressure, water molecules can reverse osmosis through the RO semi-permeable membrane, the output of pure water, while a large number of inorganic ions in the original water, organic matter, colloids, microorganisms, thermogenesis, etc. are retained by the RO membrane.
Usually when the raw water conductivity <200μS/cm, a RO pure water conductivity ≤ 5μs/cm, in line with the laboratory three water standards. For areas with high raw water conductivity, in order to save the subsequent mixed-bed ion exchange resin replacement costs, improve the quality of pure water, customers can consider choosing the secondary reverse osmosis purification system, the second RO pure water conductivity of about 1 ~ 5μS/cm, and the raw water quality.
