WHO-accredited EMTs must strictly comply with the ethical requirements of the WMA Manual of Medical Ethics and provide a needs-based response according to the type of disaster in the affected country, and provide necessary emergency medical services and humanitarian assistance equally and equitably to the disaster-affected populations of different races, genders, nationalities, religions, and geographic regions of the globe, especially to the disadvantaged groups (women, children, and the poor). Future, China's international emergency medical team (Sichuan) will be under the leadership of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, provincial and municipal health and family planning commissions, and accept the deployment of the WHO and the Chinese government.
