Three major production bases
Jiayuguan headquarters production base: with an annual output of 9.5 million tons of iron ore; 6 million tons of pig iron; 6.5 million tons of steel (including 1.2 million tons of stainless steel) , with a production capacity of 6.5 million tons of plate. It has production lines for carbon steel high-speed wire rods, bars, medium-thick plates, hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled sheets, and stainless steel hot-rolled coils and cold-rolled sheets.
The carbon steel system also includes world-class cold rolling and galvanizing production lines. The main equipment is provided by Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Siemens, Voestalpine, and Nippon Steel. In the stainless steel system, there are currently the world's most advanced stainless steel production equipment. It is the third domestic stainless steel production enterprise with complete supporting processes from steelmaking, hot rolling to cold rolling. The main equipment is provided by Germany and Austria. Designed and manufactured by well-known foreign companies such as Italy and Japan. It has the production capacity of 1.2 million tons of stainless steel slabs, 1.1 million tons of stainless steel hot-rolled black coils, 700,000 tons of stainless steel cold-rolled pickled products and 200,000 tons of stainless steel medium and thick plate products.
Lanzhou Yuzhong Production Base: has an annual production capacity of 3.6 million tons of pig iron, 4 million tons of converter steel, 1.5 million tons of hot-rolled ribbed steel bars, and 2.2 million tons of high-speed wire rods. The 2800 m3 blast furnace, which was put into operation in September 2012, is currently the modern blast furnace with the largest unit volume and the most advanced equipment in the northwest region.
Shanxi Yicheng Production Base: With an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of pig iron, 2 million tons of converter steel, and 2.2 million tons of hot-rolled ribbed steel bars, it is the largest third-level rebar production base in the region .
