According to the Administrative Regulations of Civil Aviation Transportation of China: Aerosol medicines (including Chinese medicines) are exempted if accompanied by a doctor's prescription or a hospital certificate, and the quantity of the medicines is based on the amount required by the passenger on board the airplane. Containers and plastic bags are not required. Medications should be handed over separately to security personnel for X-ray inspection. Security personnel will ask passengers to present a doctor's certificate or doctor's prescription.
Passengers who are diabetic may carry sufficient insulin preparations and hypodermic syringes with needles for use on board the aircraft, subject to presentation of a medical certificate. Passengers with diabetes who are required to carry their own personal prescribed food (e.g. unsweetened fruit juices) for consumption on board the aircraft are required to present a medical certificate if the container is larger than 100 ml. Exempted medication and food should be separated from other hand baggage for inspection.
