What is the difference between a leakage protector and an air switch?

1, with different protection functions.

The main function of air switch is to prevent the circuit from overloading, so it only acts as a fuse. Air switch usually only protects the current of large circuit, and mainly detects short circuit and overload current.

Leakage switch, the main function is to prevent human body from electric shock and leakage, which has little effect on circuit overload. Leakage protector only protects small circuits, mainly detects line equipment and protects human body and equipment.

2. The way of motion detection is different.

Air switch, in short, is a trip caused by circuit overload, and its main function is to protect the safety of electricity consumption.

The leakage switch is mainly used to detect the residual current, that is, the algebraic sum of the internal phase lines in the protection loop current. Therefore, the residual current device only needs to avoid the leakage value and cut off the leakage protector sensitively to prevent leakage current from getting an electric shock.

3. The tripping reasons are different.

The air switch mainly passes through the live wire and the neutral wire, and the current between the two wires is too large, which leads to tripping.

The leakage switch is because the human body will form a loop with the ground after touching the live wire, so that the device will automatically feel, thus achieving the purpose of tripping.
