Based on the scientific research planning of war rescue of the whole army, we have successfully developed a lightweight manual sputum aspirator, which is characterized by small volume, light weight, high attraction, compact structure, easy to carry, low cost, and sturdy and durable, and it is suitable for nursing care and first-aid sputum suction in any case of no electricity. By the military and outside the six hospitals clinical trial, proved its performance to meet the use of requirements.
1 Structure and performance
(1) The aspirator consists of a pump, piston, handle, sputum storage chamber, sputum suction tube and sputum discharge tube connector. It is made of aluminum alloy with a length of 22cm and a weight of 270g. The narrowest part of the inner diameter of the sputum tube connector is larger than the corresponding part of the electric sputum aspirator.
(2) When used, it can produce 60kPa (450mmHg) negative pressure by pulling once, and 80kPa (600mmHg) negative pressure by pulling twice in a row. Its suction force is greater than the commonly used electric suction.
2 Scope of application
It is suitable for war rescue sputum suction in medical units such as company, battalion, regiment and division of the army, as well as sputum suction in hospitals or any other medical units in the case of no power supply.
3 How to use
(1) Install the sputum suction tube and sputum discharge tube (the sputum suction tube connector is in the center of the pump, and the sputum discharge tube connector is on one side, don't reverse it).
(2) First, make a suction test to check whether the sputum aspirator leaks water and air, and whether there is any anti-gas when discharging, such as anti-gas in the sputum tube, it can not be used.
(3) After proving good performance, one person holds the sputum aspirator and pulls the handle repeatedly, another person can use the sputum aspirator to suction sputum, and the skilled person can also be operated by one person. After the sputum is sucked out, water should be sucked at any time to flush the accumulated sputum in the sputum storage room.
(4) When suctioning indoors, the sputum tube should be placed inside the bottle to prevent sputum from being paralyzed.
(5) The use of the device should be careful not to pull too fast and too hard to prevent the negative pressure from damaging the mucosal tissues of the oral and nasal cavities.
(6) After use should be sucked clean, sputum tube routine disinfection, sputum suction and sputum tube suction disinfectant disinfection, in order to prepare for reuse.
