Biomedical engineering is the combination of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computers with engineering principles to engage in biological, medical, behavioral, or health research; to formulate fundamental concepts, generate knowledge from the molecular level to the organ level, and to develop innovative biological products, materials, processing methods, implants, devices, and informatics methods for use in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, the rehabilitation of patients, and the improvement of health conditions. Simply put, it is the development of disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation of new methods, new tools, the so-called medical device-related specialties, refers to the biomedical engineering.
