The process of human activity is a process of continuous development and progress, as well as the process of continuous coordination between man and nature. With the development of the economy and the continuous improvement of the standard of living, people in the pursuit of rich material life at the same time, but also seeking different ways of spiritual comfort and support, keeping pets in recent years has gradually become a big city people seeking spiritual comfort and support one of the ways.
China's pet species is rich in resources and quantity. Pets are accepted and loved by more and more families and individuals, and they play a special role in people's lives as "companions". People and pets get along with each other happily, constituting a landscape of harmonious social development. At the same time, the pet's health and disease prevention and control has also become a matter of concern for pet owners and the community.
Although pets are mostly veterinary, but in view of the emotional attachment between pets and people, the method for livestock to deal with pet diseases is obviously not enough, the treatment of pet diseases, especially pets and animals **** suffering from disease prevention and control and other related work, must be done by professionals. For this reason, an emerging profession - the emergence of pet physicians has become the inevitable requirements of social development.
At present, the need for veterinarians is mainly concentrated in China's more economically developed cities and regions, such as: Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and other places. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2003, there were more than 10,000 pet hospitals in urban areas above the county level.
In terms of the number of pets kept, Beijing alone is estimated to have more than one million pets (feathers). As residents' demand for pets increases year by year, the number of pets kept will increase geometrically, which brings opportunities for the development of the pet diagnosis and treatment business. From the overall industry development and trends, the social demand for pet physicians is bound to show growth.
As the current construction of pet medical practitioners in China is not well planned, the number of practitioners is obviously insufficient, and the professional ability of practitioners needs to be further improved. After the state clearly establishes the pet physician as a profession, it will further standardize this profession through professional qualification certification, improve the professionalism of practitioners, establish a high-quality diagnostic and treatment team, and promote and facilitate the healthy development of China's pet diagnostic and treatment industry.
With the development of the times, people's lives and lifestyles are more colorful, and the pet industry will further emerge and develop rapidly in China.
