China Southern Airlines baggage regulations

The regulations on carry-on baggage are as follows:

1. Domestic flights: 2 pieces in first class, each piece not exceeding 5 kg; 1 piece in business class, Pearl Economy Class, Economy Class, each piece not exceeding 5 kg.

2. International or regional flights:

2 pieces in first class, not exceeding 5 kg each; 1 piece in business class, Pearl Economy Class, Economy Class, not exceeding 5 kg each.

3. The length, width and height of the baggage combined is less than 115cm (45in).

Carry-on items exceeding the above weight, piece or volume limitations should be checked in as checked baggage, and should be handled in advance at the check-in counters and self-service baggage check-in facilities. China Southern Airlines may conduct baggage inspection at check-in, security check, boarding gates and passenger cabins, and the portion of the baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance will be charged at the overweight baggage rate.

The following carry-on items can be carried free of charge:

1. A coat, shawl or blanket.

2. An umbrella or walking stick.

3. A pair of binoculars.

4, A reasonable amount of reading material to read on the flight.

5. A handbag, pouch or bag suitable for the usual traveler's make-up and not for the shipment of baggage that should be shipped as separate baggage.

6. Food for feeding infants on the flight.

7. A baby carrier and a collapsible lightweight stroller or pram (in the cabin or in the cargo hold of the aircraft).

8. A collapsible wheelchair and/or a pair of crutches and/or a pair of straps or other prosthetics for the passenger (in the cabin or in the cargo hold of the aircraft)?

A passenger with a disability who relies on a wheelchair, crutches, back brace, or limb prosthetic appliance?

9. Service dogs such as guide dogs/hearing dogs (special dogs trained to assist visually impaired passengers or hearing impaired passengers)?

Vision-impaired passengers or hearing-impaired passengers relying on service dogs must apply in advance and have a certificate from the medical department.
