Beidaihe Station, located in Daihe Town, Beidaihe District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. The train station looks like a huge and gorgeous white shell. It was built in 1893 under the jurisdiction of the Qinhuangdao Car Section of the Beijing Railway Bureau. It is now a second-class station. It only handles passenger transportation, not freight transportation. The center mileage of the station is located at 276 kilometers of the Beijing-Harbin line, adjacent to Liushouying station in the west and Nandasi station in the east, which is an intermediate station on the Beijing-Harbin line, 276 kilometers away from Beijing station and 973 kilometers away from Harbin station. 2013, the Jin-Qin high speed railway was opened, and the Beidaihe station is an important intermediate station of the Jin-Qin high speed railway, which is 21 kilometers away from the Qinhuangdao station on the line, 245 kilometers away from the west station of Tianjin.
Status of Beidaihe Station
On July 1, 2011, after nearly nine months of intense construction, the Beidaihe Railway Station in Qinhuangdao was completed and used, and passenger service was officially resumed from the first day, with the addition of automated ticket vending machines.
The newly built Beidaihe Railway Station, with an investment of 1.082 billion yuan, has a waiting hall with an area of more than 6,800 square meters, divided into two floors. Not only is the appearance beautiful, the station design is everywhere highlighting the humane and modern features. The square in front of Beidaihe Station is flat and open, the waiting room is clean and comfortable, and there is a barrier-free elevator for people with limited mobility. This design makes travelers with mobility problems feel warm. In the ticketing area, there are seven automatic ticket vending machines for passengers to purchase tickets on their own and electronic ticket checking machines at the ticket gates, through which passengers can realize self-service ticket checking and enter the station quickly. Beidaihe Railway Station ceased passenger service in October 2010 and entered the construction phase. After the resumption of passenger service at the new station, the number of upward and downward trains arriving and departing from the station will reach 158.
