Folding Ludian Earthquake Donation
At 16:30 on August 3, 2014, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Ludian County, Yunnan Province, resulting in 617 deaths, 112 missing, and 3,143 injuries, with the affected population amounting to 1,138,000 people, and the disaster damage was mainly concentrated in the towns of Longtoushan and Huoderhong in Ludian County, Baoguzhanyang Township of Qiaojia County, and the township of Paper Factory in Huize County. After the earthquake, One Foundation, in cooperation with the government and civil society organizations and other partners, has carried out emergency rescue and transitional resettlement work, and since March 2015, One Foundation, drawing on the reconstruction experience of the "4-20" Lushan Earthquake, has focused on the reconstruction work in Ludian Earthquake-stricken Area with the basic goal of "disaster reduction as the core, creating resilient homes", which mainly includes the demonstration community for earthquake mitigation, demonstration school and One Paradise project. The reconstruction work focuses on the basic objective of "creating a resilient home", which mainly includes demonstration communities, demonstration campuses, and the One Paradise project.
Earthquake mitigation demonstration community--Before the Ludian earthquake, the local farm houses were mainly made of earth and wood structure, and the structural form of earth wall load-bearing structure could not satisfy the basic structure requirement of anti-seismic demand, and the overall seismic capacity of the houses was extremely low. The program also improves the self-rescue and mutual-rescue capabilities of the "farmer-group-village" trinity, helping the community to better cope with potential future disasters.
Earthquake mitigation demonstration campus--In the post-disaster reconstruction of Ludian, One Foundation combined with the actual situation of Ludian, and cooperated with famous designers from China and Taiwan, and tried to design and build child-oriented schools.
In March, 2015, the teaching building of Guangming Elementary School in Longtoushan Township, Ludian County, which was reconstructed with the support of the One Foundation, was completed and put into use, and the teachers' dormitory of Guangming Elementary School was put into use in May of the same year. In September, the teaching building of Magpie Drop Primary School in Huoderhong Town, Ludian County built by One Foundation has been put into use, and the student dormitory building, teacher dormitory building and attached kindergarten have also been completed, and will be put into use after acceptance. In the future, One Foundation also plans to carry out the "Disaster Reduction Demonstration Campus" project in 10 schools in Ludian, which will enhance the comprehensive ability of teachers and students to deal with disasters in four aspects: teachers' capacity building, children's safety education, campus risk management and campus safety culture.

As of July 2016,*** in Ludian County Longtoushan Township, Huodhong Township, Lehong Township and other five townships affected by the construction of 10 schools completed 10 One Paradise music classrooms, for 13 rural music teachers to carry out the training of teaching skills,*** counting 10,009 children benefited.2016-2017, the One Foundation is also planning to carry out the second phase of the One Paradise-music classroom project.
