Special regulations on labor protection for female employees in Jiangsu Province are as follows:

During menstruation, the unit where female employees work shall not arrange for them to work at high altitudes, at low temperatures, in cold water, in the outdoors, or in third-party tasks stipulated by the state. For labor with a level of physical labor intensity, workers should be temporarily transferred to other work, or given one to two days of public leave.

Female employees in other types of work who suffer from menorrhagia or are unable to continue working due to dysmenorrhea will be given one day of public leave after being certified by a medical unit. For female employees who are married but not pregnant, pregnant or lactating, the unit should temporarily remove them from the following operations: lead smelting, casting, and lead powder production; pure benzene production and recycling; mercury production, distillation, and recycling;

The production of cadmium, the production of carbon disulfide, radioactive operations that exceed the dose equivalent limit required for health protection; other toxic and harmful operations that obviously harm women’s physiological functions and affect the health of the next generation. Pregnant female employees shall not be arranged to engage in labor with third-level physical labor intensity prescribed by the state and labor that is taboo during pregnancy.

Female employees who are engaged in tasks such as frequent bending, climbing, squatting, lifting, and carrying, etc. that may easily cause miscarriage or premature birth, should be temporarily transferred to other jobs or their workload should be reduced as appropriate after being certified by the medical unit. .

Pregnant female employees are not allowed to work overtime. Prenatal check-ups during working hours will be counted as working time, and the corresponding labor quota will be deducted.

Female employees who are more than seven months pregnant (inclusive) are generally not allowed to work night shifts.

A one-hour break should be given during working hours, and the corresponding labor quota shall be deducted.

Those who really have difficulty in going to work can take 60 days of prenatal leave upon personal application and approval by the employer.

During the leave period, the salary shall not be less than 80%. Maternity leave for female employees shall not be less than ninety days. Among them, there are fifteen days of prenatal leave.

In the case of difficult labor, the maternity leave will be increased by fifteen days; in the case of multiple births, the maternity leave will be increased by fifteen days for each additional baby.

Female employees who have a miscarriage within three months of pregnancy will be given 20 to 30 days of maternity leave based on the certificate from the medical unit;

For those who are between three months and seven months old, Maternity leave is forty-two days; for those over seven months old, maternity leave is ninety days.

When returning to work after maternity leave, one to two weeks will be allowed to gradually resume the original workload.

Article 1 of the "Special Regulations on Labor Protection of Female Employees in Jiangsu Province" is intended to reduce and solve the special difficulties of female employees due to their physiological characteristics at work and protect the rights of female employees.
