Dust is the most rampant in summer.
Expert experiments have found that summer is the most rampant season for dust. When summer comes, it is easy to make the indoor environment wet. In this humid condition, it is easy to breed a large number of mites, which are an important source of pollution hidden indoors and have strong reproductive ability. The existence of mites will not only harm human skin, but also induce allergic symptoms such as allergic rhinitis, asthma and eczema, which may be related to mites.
Personal belongings are gathering places.
Mites feed on dander dropped by human metabolism, so the closer they get to the body, the easier it is to gather mites. Pillows, bedding mattresses and even dolls on the bedroom bed will become gathering places for endworms. British researchers found that there are more than 654.38 billion microbes on a mattress that has not been cleaned for three years.
Practical strategy of eliminating the end
First, high temperature exposure
Mites are suitable for living in the environment of 20-25C, and the mite removal effect can be achieved above or below this temperature.
Scope of application: pillows, quilts, blankets, plush toys, mats and other items that are not suitable for washing.
Operation method: long-time exposure method: ultraviolet radiation for more than 8 hours will kill dust. On the other hand, sun exposure can also keep bedding dry and create an unsuitable living environment for dust mites.
Short-time exposure method: put on a black plastic bag and use the principle of black temperature absorption to greatly improve the exposure efficiency, and it will be done in 2 hours! Steam iron method: you can remove mites from the gap in the mat, turn the steam iron to the maximum for high-temperature ironing, then sprinkle some toilet water and let it dry fully ~
Electric blanket: turn on the electric blanket. High temperature and dry environment can kill some mites.
Second, clean.
Secretions, excrements and corpses of dust mites are the sources of dust mite allergy. Even if the living body is killed, the allergen will not be destroyed, and cleaning can achieve double control. Scope of application: washable textiles such as sheets, clothes and towels.
Operation method:
Large textiles: Wash with sulfur soap in hot water of about 55 degrees, pour toilet water for 20 minutes during the last cleaning, wring it out and expose it to the sun. Small textiles: sprinkle 5g salt/baking soda into hot water at 55℃, soak for 5min, then scrub, wring out and expose to the sun.
Third, freezing.
The temperature at which aphids live will also be destroyed by freezing.
Scope of application: pillows, plush toys, etc.
Operation method: For the treatment of plush toys, you can wrap them with plastic wrap first, put them in the refrigerator for 24 hours, then take them out to dry and pat them.
Fourth, dry and dehumidify.
The survival of mites needs high humidity, generally around 70%. When the humidity drops below 50%, the survival rate of mites will be greatly reduced. Scope of application: high humidity indoor.
Operation method: The indoor humidity can be reduced to 30%-50% by using air conditioner, dehumidifier or window ventilation. Although this method is mild but effective, as long as it can be maintained for a long time, there really won't be any mites at home!
