Chapter 1

Dusk came and the last rays of the sun shone down on the city, corpses lay all over the place amongst the ruins, blood flowed everywhere, and all kinds of guns discarded by the soldiers were everywhere. A few tall 2 meter high machines were moving slowly, tracks rubbing against the gravel, the pitch black barrels of the machines pointing into the distance in the setting sun.

..........

It was the 5th year of the Apocalypse War. The AI had indeed opposed humanity, and it was called Apocalypse, the brainchild of mankind and its proudest work. But it would not obey humans and rebelled against them. It soon took control of all human automatons, built its own mechanical army, and waged a long war with humans. But soon it gained the upper hand, and the mechanical legions fought with unknown efficiency over the humans.

On the sea, a huge 200-meter-long battleship sailed under the escort of more than 20 battleships of various types, with a 300-meter-long aircraft carrier following close behind. This was humanity's final navy, the Everest nuclear-powered carrier battle group, including the 200-meter-long Destroyer nuclear-powered missile battleship. On the deck of the Destroyer, next to a 100mm caliber gun, a slightly blurred figure was gazing into the distance, her half-meter-long hair falling from her shoulders, making her beauty even more apparent in the setting sun.

"It's getting late, what are you still doing here?"

A very infectious voice rang out, and the woman couldn't help but look back. A very handsome, dashing soldier in a naval uniform with an mp5 submachine gun on his back entered her field of vision.

"I want to see the sunset, what's wrong?" A soft yet icy voice popped out from between her lips. "Nothing, just asking." He said. "You might not get the chance later." She changed to a softer tone. "Are you also doubting that we can win?" He smiled bitterly. At that moment, however, there was a strange ringing sound in the sky.

"Buzzing buzzing buzzing..."

"Air raid alert, air raid alert, radar has picked up 75 enemy planes, full level 1 readiness!"

"SAMD II air defense missiles ready to fire! Cruisers Visualize, Vanguard, Tempest, and Venus, prepare to intercept targets! All Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers, Type 21 frigates fire missiles! Bunyan gunboats, Beja frigates, Brandenburg frigates, open full fire! ..."

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Boom! Boom! Da da da da da da da da da!"

"Tempest! The missiles are headed towards you! Nope! The missiles are aimed at the Destroyer!"

In a blaze of fire and explosions, there was a blinding flash of fire, and the handsome soldier lunged as soon as he could... "Boom!"

The woman blinked as she lay still and unharmed in the soldier's arms. Surrounded by fire and rubble, that soldier set her down and smiled at her. "You..." she was a little overwhelmed. "You can call me Scott." He said, "And you?" "I...my name is...Jessica...""Oh, well..." but he fell forward before the words left his mouth. "Flop!" Jessica jumped in shock as she saw the shocking few wounds on Scott's back and the shrapnel lodged in his body.

"You..." she said, moving for a boy for the first time.

In the sky, brilliant flashes of fire came accompanied by violent explosions as countless lines of fire flew through the air, and the close defense guns on the battleships spewed out storms of life-harvesting metal and flames, even though they weren't aimed at life. Heaps of missiles flew through the air at five times the speed of sound, letting off deadly fire and explosions.

"Boom boom boom! Boom boom boom! Boom boom boom!" "Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da!"

A dense storm of metal raged wildly through the air as the enemy planes finally crashed one by one.

In the Destroyer's medical room, Jessica sat beside a medical bed, staring nervously at Scott.

"Why are you protecting me? Do I have anything to do with you?''

Chapter 2

"Buzz...''

Several Apocalypse fighters grayed out of the Everest's nuclear-powered carrier battle group, with a few rounds of Russian s-400 anti-aircraft missiles trailing behind.

The fleet sailed towards Asia, slowly passing through the Bering Strait to the Russian Far East, where the military port of Vospert stopped to prepare for its next patrol of the territorial waters. In an office, two men were discussing something.

"Sir, the enemy has attacked Finland! We must reinforce the western front!"

"I know, but we really don't have many troops left! The only troops we can draw on right now are one, - the Marines. But they're not as good as the regular Army."

"Whatever it is, support what you can, it's better than nothing."

"Hey, okay, okay. I'll send it over to you right now."

Three days later ................

Scott was sitting in a military transport, its engines roaring as two SU27 fighters escorted it on either side. He was about to enter the dangerous Western Front theater, Jessica was there too, except she wasn't on his transport. The plane landed quickly and Scott walked down. An unknown number of soldiers with MP5 submachine guns and logisticians with HK45 pistols crotched at their waists were hurrying. " Coalition Army USAR Marine Squadron 5, Squadron 5-10 reporting, 105 due, 101 present, Deputy Commanding Officer and 3 guardsmen with the 2023 South China Sea Campaign...light, honorably killed.'' Scott's captain reported from the front, and many of the soldiers' eyes were a little moist. When covering the retreat of the troops back then, it was those few people, who exhausted their ammunition behind the bunker, and finally rushed up there with their stun knives and high explosives, and died with a few Apocalypse Mechanical Troopers.

The past is the past, don't think about it anymore. Scott thought. Still, a few tears moistened the corners of his eyes. He lowered his head and walked alone into his newly assigned dormitory.

No sooner had 1 rested than an alarm sounded in the base. "Enemy attack, all personnel level 1 battle readiness!"

"Hey...the apocalypse is just like that, it's never ending, it's like the troops never run out, it's like you can't do without an attack every day." Scott muttered, quickly running into the equipment storage. "Ka-ching! Click!" The sound of weapons being loaded filled the equipment vault. Many American-made weapons had been taken away, so Scott had to take a Russian "Storm-Lightning-4" short assault rifle without buttresses, with an effective range of 200 meters, a caliber of 9mm, and a magazine of 20 rounds, which was compact, strong, durable, lightweight, and had good accuracy. He took 10 spare magazines and stuck them in the pockets of his body armor.

"Knock knock knock! Knock knock knock!" Several Russian HP-30s and American EX-34s roared madly, their scarlet tongues of fire spewing a powerful storm of dense metal. Several Type 82, M68 and RGD-5 grenades arced out of the air with loud explosions. "Boom! Boom!" Scott rolled behind a mound of sandbags in a forward roll and stole a glance at a few T2 Apocalypse helicopters rushing in as over 200 T-5 Mechs stepped off the helicopters holding M2HB heavy machine guns. "Da da da da! Da da da da! Da da da da! Da da da da da!" The dense 12.7mm bullets cut a heat wave in the air, and the sharp slugs cut through all the body armor, harvesting a fresh life.

"Click!" Scott loaded his gun and took aim at a cyborg. "Ta-da!" He chose to fire three accurate point-blank shots, and the three 9mm bullets clanked unwillingly against the cyborg's armor. "Da da da da! Da da da da! Da da da da! Da da da da! Da-da-da-da!" The remaining 17 rounds hit the cyborg's armor defiantly, leaving several craters of varying depths. The cyborg soldier turned his gun towards Scott, a roaring tongue of fire accompanied by piles of bullets tearing through the sandbag. Scott immediately finished changing his clip and swept 20 rounds into the cyborg soldier without mercy.

"Scott! Watch out!" A soldier suddenly shouted. "Cole?" Scott instantly recognized the comrade. "Behind you!" Cole shouted. Scott turned around and was dumbfounded.

There was a huge... Carrying machine guns and missiles ......

Mecha!

This is the end. Scott thought.

Chapter 3

"Da da da da! Da da da da! Da da da da da! Da da da da da!" The two 30mm caliber Vulcan machine guns were frantically spitting out flames, the scarlet sparks licking up all life like the scythe of death. Scott hid behind the cover and was not allowed to counterattack. Soon, more mechs crashed through the walls, raising their cannons and strafing. Many missiles flew through the air with a deafening thud.

The human tank units finally arrived, dozens of T90 tanks drove up, the sound of artillery fire resounding through the sky accompanied by fire echoing through the air.

In the midst of the intense fighting, Scott saw a familiar figure stumbling along - Jessica! Scott was a little smitten. "Cole!" Scott said over the walkie-talkie, "Cover for me!" "Ok! Old Cole!" Cole replied immediately. He casually picked up an M249 machine gun and "Da da da da da!" The sound of gunfire immediately rang out. Scott darted and fired at the same time, swooping behind another cover and throwing a smoke grenade out. "Zip, zip~~" a cloud of gray smoke dispersed, and the figure appeared in the smoke. "Jessica!" Scott called out. At that moment, a hail of gunfire hit, and Scott pounced on Jessica as she slumped behind a brick wall.

"Well---" Jessica was a little dazed, a blush flashed across her face as she gazed at Scott in fascination. "It's okay, don't be afraid, they can't beat us!" Scott comforted. At that moment, several warplanes whistled through the air, trailing long trailing flames.

"Da da da da da!" A burst of shells fell from the air, breaking one of the mech's mechanical legs, and the mech staggered and fell.

"Whew, that was close." Scott breathed a sigh of relief. But, immediately afterward, several Apocalypse Mechs rushed over, and Scott immediately stood up and fired a burst of point-blank shots at it. "Da da da da da!" Several whizzing bullets flashed past Scott as if it were the grimace of death, tearing apart everything that tried to get in its way.

Three days later ......

Scott opened his eyes slightly and found himself lying on a medical bed. "This is... a medical clinic? I-I ...... I'm not dead?" He muttered to himself.

"Old Section! You're finally awake!" Cole's shout suddenly rang out.

"Cole? You're here too!" Scott sat up suddenly.

"That is, but, I have some bad news for you."
